Our mission strategy is built on five questions that guide our decisions about giving and community engagement:
- How can we encourage our people to explore God’s call upon their lives?
- How can we develop the small group ministry of our congregation?
- How do we proclaim the Good News of Christ in Harties?
- How are people in Harties suffering and what can we do to alleviate that suffering and address its causes?
- How can we help people in Harties to live self-sustaining and productive lives?
Let all of us hold these questions prayerfully in our hearts; listen for the prompting of the Holy Spirit and think of ways to respond.
Naledi Community Centre
Located in Lethabong (~5km north of Lethlabile), directed by Ms Sophy Ndimande. Includes a pre-school (75 children), the Soul Sparkles orphan-care programme, and broader community support work. Our church helps with financial administration, Feed-a-Friend supplies, and classroom improvements.
Feed a Friend
A high-protein, dehydrated food project that supplies feeding schemes and community-assistance programmes. Each packet contains soya, rice, vegetable and vitamin powder serving 6 people. A volunteer group of about 20 people packs roughly 900 bags in 2 hours, with 2–3 packing sessions annually.
Skeerpoort Primary School
Feeding scheme support arranged by a church member — a wonderful mission opportunity for our members.
OUTREACH2AFRICA
See our separate post on Outreach2Africa for full details of our missions to the Richtersveld and Botswana, led by Drikus and Sally Griessel.
